List of series featured in Super Robot Wars
This list of series featured in Super Robot Wars contains an index of the anime, manga, novel, and video game series featured in at least one of the Super Robot Wars games.
This featured title list is up to date as of January 2011 (the announcement of Super Robot Wars Z2: Hakai-hen"). This list excludes "Banpresto Original" storylines such as Masou Kishin (Cybuster) and SRX despite them sometimes being listed as separate series.
General Rules
These are the basic rules in listing the Super Robot Wars featured titles:
- Titles in italics are franchise names; bolded titles indicate series that have made more than one appearance in Super Robot Wars (excluding remakes).
- Each series is represented by the name used in its original release. Alternate adaptions, concept designs such as Mobile Suit Variations, and any other media closely related to said series are not listed separately. However, sequels and side-stories (given that they have relevance to the game's storyline) are listed.
- There are some series that contribute units that aren't noted in "official" series lists by Banpresto; they are listed here. If a non-listed series later makes a listed appearance in a game, that game is counted as their introduction into the franchise.
- Example: Mobile Suit Gundam F90 is not listed in Banpresto's series list, but is listed here. New Story of Aura Battler Dunbine makes several unlisted appearances, but its first listed appearance is in Super Robot Wars Compact 3.
- Mazinkaiser (the Banpresto-created version) and Shin Getter Robo both debuted under the "Banpresto Originals" moniker; however, this list follows the most recent classification, in which Mazinkaiser is grouped with Mazinger Z while Shin Getter Robo is classified as "Shin Getter Robo (manga version)" (a catch-all name for Getter Robo Go, the Shin Getter Robo manga, etc.).
- With the exception of the Scramble Commander series (which is considered part of the overall franchise by Banpresto), Super Robot Wars Impact (which changes Compact 2's series list) and Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, Banpresto Original series, spin-offs and remakes are not considered.
- Series that debuted in the PlayStation Neo Super Robot Wars are listed as "Shin" to avoid confusion with the Wii Super Robot Wars NEO.
